How to solve sudoku puzzles

  1. 1Scan each 3x3 box for the digits it is missing, then check which cells can legally hold them.
  2. 2Look for a row or column with only one or two blanks. Those fill in fast.
  3. 3Use small pencil marks for candidates in tricky cells, and erase as you go.
  4. 4If two cells in a box can only hold the same two digits, cross those digits off everywhere else in that box.
